There is goes. All my work up into the cloud, but is it a really bad thing? I guess only if you can’t get it back, but in this case, I am talking about the Cloud and all that it does do.
It is a great service in that we no longer need to take up all that space in our own computers and that it is now stored in an off computer site where it can be accessed when you need, i.e., retrievable. With the programs running on a remote server and accessed by yourself and/or your team, it therefore becomes the central place for collaboration for: real-time document edits by multiple users, updates documents automatically, as well as being available on your mobile devices only makes it so that the office no longer needs to be the ‘office.’ It becomes like a fully-automated server with you running a fully-automated service.
Security has and always will continue to be a concern, but when they, the hackers, can get into everything from hospital to bank records, how safe is it becomes the underlying question. It has been my understanding that there is a not only a higher degree of security on this system, but also that there is triply redundant backups; in other words, your information is backed up three times. That is superior to most on-site setups anywhere.
The article below will answer most of your questions as to why it is the wave of the future and how the question of security is being handled. It seems that Clouds are not just for producing rain anymore.
The question becomes, if you are not using the Cloud and are in any kind of business, why aren’t you?
